GOReverseLookup: A gene ontology reverse lookup tool

Description of the event:

The Journal Club will present the paper “GOReverseLookup:A gene ontology reverse lookup tool*”, recently published in Computers in Biology and Medicine. The paper introduces a novel bioinformatics tool that enables reverse querying of the Gene Ontology to identify genes statisticallyassociated with researcher-defined biological or pathological states, each defined by a set of GO terms. The session will also feature a brief demonstration of the newly developed graphical user interface (GUI), designed
to make the tool more accessible to the broader research community and to further expand the potential of gene ontology in functional genomics, systems biology, and translational research.
